Team Values:
Team Vision

We believe our Lord Jesus Christ has assigned Mission Assist Team (MAT) the task of going into all the world as His witness (Acts 1:8), and through the lives of individual team members to:

  1. Make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20)

  2. Demonstrate Gods love (John 20:21) to those in need (1 Corinthians 12:12) through projects designed to minister to the spiritual and physical needs (Luke 10:2) of those with whom we come in contact.

Team Mission

MAT's primary purpose is to reach the lost for Christ by ministering to a community's needs through the local New Testament church, and to evangelize individuals by its team members.  Although MAT is not a church organization designed specifically for the praise and worship, nor is it a "feed and clothe the world" humanitarian organization, it ministers to the total man, equipping him with the ability to improve his life by assisting local leaders and other individuals to reach a level of spiritual and physical independence.

Team Concept

MAT works through local missionaries, pastors and other church leaders as a team, utilizing individual spiritual gifts and personal skills to teach and train local leaders in evangelism, church & educational development, clean water, agriculture/animal husbandry, health/nutrition , medical/dental and job training.

  1. Evangelism - To equip local Christians to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  2. Church and Education Development
To encourage new believers to be baptized and become active members of a local church.

    • Assist local church establishment by training leaders for Bible study, discipleship, missions, music and other areas of ministry.

    • Assist local churches in planning, acquiring and/or constructing need facilities and equipment.

    • Assist local churches and civic leaders in establishing classes to teach basic skills in reading, writing, math and English as a second language.

  3. Clean Water - Assist local churches and civic leaders in acquisition of clean water sources, including drilling, pumping, transportation, filtering, storage and distribution.

  4. Agriculture / Animal Husbandry - To assist in the acquisition of food by:                                            a.  Emergency relief.
    b.  Teaching food production through
            (1)  Agriculture
            (2)  Animal production and care.

  5. Health / Nutrition - To assist individuals in obtaining optimal quality of life by teaching principles of hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention.

  6. Medical / Dental - To provide basic medical/dental/eye care where none is available or affordable.

  7. Economic Development - To teach basic job skills to individuals, enabling them to be productive or find work, allowing them to feed and clothe their families, eliminating the need for welfare-type programs.
